We strongly advise against this. Because coated paper utilizes Thinner fibers designed specifically for wrapping, it lacks the structural stiffness to support heavy retail products on its own. Instead, we recommend using Ivory Board for standalone folding structures.
C1S stands for “Coated One Side,” providing a single glossy printing surface while leaving the back raw to absorb glue perfectly during rigid box assembly. Conversely, C2S features a clay coating on both sides. Therefore, we utilize C2S for premium promotional inserts and brochures where you need high-definition printing on both sides.
If you wrap a rigid box with paper that is too thick, the corners wrinkle and bulge outward. Conversely, if the paper is too thin, the dark greyboard underneath shows through. Therefore, 157gsm coated paper strikes the exact perfect balance, wrapping tightly around sharp 90-degree box corners while fully hiding the internal greyboard structure.
